Darren embarked on his professional journey after graduating from San Diego State University in 2004, earning his bachelor’s degree in Business. His early career saw him excel as a commercial real estate broker at Marcus & Millichap. In 2014, Darren made a strategic transition from commercial real estate to the financial services industry, marking a pivotal moment in his career.
His multifaceted expertise and strategic vision underscore his commitment to driving MCM’s growth and helping to ensure its continued success.
Kim Magana
Kim Magana, the visionary founder of Marathon Capital. Currently serving as the co-owner and Chief Investment Officer of MCM’s equities and fixed income program, Kim brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the financial landscape.
Kim’s journey in capital markets began in the early '80s when he was introduced to the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. Since then, he has been deeply immersed in the world of investing, witnessing and adapting to the evolving dynamics of the financial industry.
He began managing portfolios as a personal endeavor, overseeing investments for both himself and his family. As his acumen and success became evident, so did the demand for his expertise. Recognizing the opportunity to extend beyond personal circles, Kim took the decisive step to establish Marathon Capital in 2004.
Haylee Hunsucker
Haylee Hunsucker is our customer service specialist & office manager. She’s a seasoned professional with an extensive background that spans over 27 years. Haylee is a cornerstone in managing the operational, administrative and service aspects of Marathon Capital.
Throughout her career, she has developed a keen understanding of the importance of customer satisfaction and has successfully implemented strategies to enhance service quality. Her dedication to creating positive interactions has helped foster a loyal customer base and has contributed significantly to the success of the firm.
